SPD loses veteran sergeant to heart attack | 911

The Seattle Police Department is mourning the loss of veteran Sergeant Colin Hotnit, who died Monday of a massive heart attack, according to the SPD.

Sergeant Hotnit spent 15 years with the department, most recently as a patrol sergeant in the East Precinct, which patrols Capitol Hill, Central Area, First Hill, Judkins Park, Madison Park, Montlake and upper Pike/Pine neighborhood.

A memorial service will be held Friday at the Criminal Justice Training Academy in Burien.
